Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our Parents and Citizens Association aims to improve the academic, social and emotional outcomes of students regardless of ability, race, gender, religion or socio-economic status. We work closely with the school to support and provide all students with quality educational outcomes and facilities.
Membership
Membership is open to all parents and carers of students attending the school. Becoming a member entitles you to be involved in the decision making of the NHSPA P&C. The membership fee is $10 annually (expiring in November each year). You can become a member by completing our membership form here: https://forms.gle/sBVMAHUHkbDqp3tN8
The form contains details about how to pay the membership fee.
If you'd like to know more about what the P&C does, you can learn more on the P&C Federation website and our constitution below.
Donations
The P&C relies on voluntary fundraising donations as our primary means of fundraising. We suggest a donation of $50.00 per year per family. This may be paid via your School Bytes Statement of Account and is used to subsidies items or projects in consultation with the school. Our members support the school to ensure our children have the very best educational opportunities possible and our aim, when allocating funds, is to have whole of school impact.
The P&C works with the school to identify and implement specific funding for a variety of initiatives. One such initiative was the purchase of mega decking, consisting of stage legs and braces, which were used for the 2023 production of the Musical ‘Sweeney Todd’. Other items purchased in the past include the new school bell and PA security system, large fan in the gym and fold away seats in St George’s Hall.
Donations may also be made by credit card at this link: https://square.link/u/iub5mhRT

What we do
Throughout the year we run and assist the school with a number of events--such as the Year 7 Welcome, running a cafe for many student performances, working bees, and secondhand uniform sales. We look forward to hearing all your ideas for other ways we can support or contribute to the NHSPA community!
P&C meetings
P&C meetings run twice a term at 6pm on Tuesday evenings.
